Gold Medal Award

Cistercian College student Liam O' Riordan was presented with the Gold Medal by Past Pupils Union President Mr. David Hernan during the reception after the Annual Cistercian College Christmas Carol Service on December 18th surrounded by his family.

The PPU Gold Medal is presented to the student who achieves the highest results in the Junior Cycle Exams. Liam achieved the highest results from the Cistercian College Junior Cycle Class of 2022.

During Liam's Junior Cycle year he also reached the All Ireland Final with the County Offaly Minor Hurling Team. His hurling training sessions took place during the Junior Cycle Exams. A dedicated student who takes everything in his stride, Liam is a prime example of a student who combined his sports and his academics very successfully.

A huge congratulations to Liam on behalf of everyone at Cistercian College. We are very proud of all he has achieved and what is to come for this young man.
